Hello Sue and Jessene,
Robert is absolutely right, we're here to help. I'm positive we can address your concerns!
In terms of being able to log into your accounts: if you have not done so already please try logging in directly from our site as Robert suggested http://home.myhughesnet.com/ . If you're still not able to log in please let me know if you're getting an error message and if so what it is. Your inability to log into your email in may be due to a forgotten password. If so, please look at this thread for instructions on updating your passwords http://community.myhughesnet.com/hughesnet/topics/how_do_i_change_my_email_password-ky02o
Jessene, in terms of your rebate: we have a section on our website dedicated to help you gather the necessary information and instructions so you can successfully apply for your rebates. If you haven't done so already please take a look at the site (http://rebate.hughesnet.com/Pages/default.aspx).
I hope this helps. Please feel free to post any follow up questions you might have.
Thanks, Sara

I am a new customer. I have tried for 8 days to log in to my account. I have spent more than 6 hours on the phone with "Bob" somewhere in the universe. He and a couple of other technicians have taken over my computer several times, made a lot of changes to it but I still can't connect to hughesnet server. Thus I can't access my account or set up email. There is apparently nobody local that can or will do anything to help. I just hope they send me a paper monthly statement if they want their monthly payment. NOT customer friendly!

Hey Jessene and Sue --
Sorry ya'll are having issues - As far as I know, the mail servers are all up and working.. Could you both let me know what browser you are using and other stuff, like your version of Windows or Mac, your email program, etc.. It will help figure out whats going on and hopefully get you fixed up :) Have you tried logging into your email directly from http://home.myhughesnet.com/ ?? If it doesn't work there, there may be a bigger issue, but the team here will get you fixed up. Don't lose the faith in Hughes quite yet Jessene :) This is a brand new support site and we are trying to stay on top of issues -
Robert
(PS- I'm just a customer like you -- there are actual Hughes Employees here too - between the two or 3 of us, we'll get you working and happy!) -

Robert and Sara,
Thank you for responding. The computer having a problem with email is an Acer laptop. Running windows vista and using Mozilla firefox. I have been able to login but the only thing that loads is the advertisement at the top of the page. The rest is blank. I had trouble with the Lenovo laptop also, but it is finally working fine. I have tried logging in through myhughesnet, but I get the same response.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Sue- view 1 more comment

David I have to disagree Ive been with these guys for years and every issue has been resolved sometimes slower than I prefer but always resoloved. And if you cant get an issue resolved you haven't stuck with the process.

I am also having problems getting to my mail from myhughesnet.com today. I am getting the following message this afternoon (using Google Chrome and Windows 7):
Duplicate headers received from server
The response from the server contained duplicate headers. This problem is generally the result of a misconfigured website or proxy. Only the website or proxy administrator can fix this issue. -

I HAVE TRIED FOR WEEKS TO GET INTO MY EMAIL'S. I HAVE TALKED WITH YOUR "NON ENGLISH SPEAKING TECH'S" AND SHE CHANGED MY PASSWORD AND I STILL CAN'T GET MY EMAIL'S. ALL THAT COMES UP IS YOUR NEW PROMOTION. WHY WOULD I WANT ANYTHING NEW WHEN YOUR OLD DOESN'T WORK??????????????????

Helen, so that I can help please provide some more details such as: what system you are, which website you're using to access your email and what your latest case number is. Are you getting an error when you try to sign in? If so, what does it say?
If you are getting an error stating that your password is incorrect you may want to reset it... this thread gives you step by step instructions on how to do this: http://community.myhughesnet.com/hugh... -

I have been having problems trying to get into my webmail/email. I am able to enter my username and password from http://home.myhughesnet.com. When I click on Hughes email I can see how many messages I have and the subject of the messages but it will not take me to the wemail/email page. I have been able to login but the only thing that loads is the advertisement at the top of the page. The rest is blank.
I also have gotten this message If I try to login again "Could not connect to the e-mail server, please try again later".
This issue has been going on for a couple of days
Thanks, Amanda -

Amanda I have been having the same problem about half the the time I try to load the page but when my email page loads, I have a little box on the upper left corner that says new mail. When I click on that, my emails load up. Sometimes even then, I can read them but they won't delete until I close out the window and try again later and every thing is then normal. Also on my situation, when I click on the new mail button, the new emails will show but my spam and trash folders are blank. I don't know if this will help you but that is what I have to do to get my email sometimes. Gary

Having the same problem, also asks for password all the time. When I finally get to my email the screen is totally different including the text.
Try to sign in thru smtp.hughes.net that seems to work.-

So I just got hooked up with Hughes.net, set up email, and have no problems. What really surprised me was I opened up Outlook express and set it up for hughes and it works. Love it.
