Free Download Time Doesn't Work
For me, the free time is useless. My speed drops so low I can not download any kind of large file even if I tried. The free download period is not a plus for me and as soon as I have another option I will bail from HughesNet.

Sara, you can close this old post. My problem has been fixed. People can open their own post.

BTW I'm 7000s on 127w satellite so Hughes may not even care or be able to do anything if they did care.

What do you mean sgoshe? i have the same modem as you but i have the pro plus plan.. free FAP time just ended here in my time zone and my brother was doing his downloads the whole morning (from 2am to 7am exact) and was not experincing any slowness in speed, was 230kb/s as max speed (thats our usual max speed) .. as for our satelite, the only info i can tell you is this- Satellite

You're a putz. Why comment if only to brag how great your speed is?

To give you an indicator that it's probably aiming, or radio issues with your system?

Hello sgoshe, I see you haven't spoken to us since January. Please give us a call at 866 347 3292 so we can troubleshoot your system and make sure all parameters are up to spec. Thank you, Sara

I have a 9000 and tried to download the other night and it took the same amount of time as it would during the day. Also every time we call that number we get somebody from India that you can hardly understand.

James, have you connected with us to troubleshoot your service? If not, please do so at 866 347 3292. If you've already touched base and would like me to take another look please let me know your case number.
If you have a concern with a specific agent please let me know.... again, the case number is directly associated with the agent you speak with so it's easy for us to track whom you spoke with. Thanks, Sara -

Hi sgoshe
Agree too many bumps to a post 2 months old that has been solved -

Ditch hughesnet people, get t-mobile 4G LTE 5GB overage free plan. It's only 50 dollars a month, which is alot cheaper compare to hughesnet and a lot faster than hughesnet even with the speed reducted speed overage of 5GB. I have seen it myself that it worked perfectly stable and way faster than hughesnet in the middle of nowhere in country side. Get t-mobile everyone and let them know what consequences they'd get when they play lame mind tricks towards to customers.

CHAMP
1You do understand 4G LTE hardly exists anywhere, right? You also realize that Verizon is known to sell customer data, and is working hand in hand with the RIAA, right? You do realize, if your 4G LTE device goes 3G, Verizon charges you out the wazoo, right? -
