Sara,
Is there anyway I can purchase a dish and have it set up at my place in florida and then when I go for the winter I can just take the modem with me and call you to let you know. We do this with our dishnetwork tv.-
Do you have a 7000 or 9000 modem? With a 7000 you can take the modem. If you have a 9000 you cannot do this as the modem is registered to a specific spot-beam. If you have a 9000 then I think Sara's suggestion below would be the best.

Hi Diane, in this case I’d recommend setting up two systems and suspending whichever one you are not using. You can suspend your service for up to six months at a time without incurring any charges.
Should you choose to sign up for another system please give us a call at 888 667 5544. Florida is a great place to spend the winter :). Sara-
hi Sara, the problem is I'm only in florida for 4 month, I would prefer to pay to have another antenna installed, I have the 7000 modem. I What would this cost and how do I go about doing it? thanks

How do I let people know to use my name or email address so I get the referral funds? If email is all it is fireflyfarms@hughes.net. So should I be Smiling or screamming in to the speaker on my computer?

Just to let you people know. I moved about 8 months ago and i have the 9000 series. To avoid a $250 charge to move my equipment i moved pole, dish and modem myself but still had a $200 service charge for the guys to come reinstall it. If i hadnt moved the equip myself that would have cost me $450

And what gets me is the guys wouldnt take a check. It had to be in $cash$. I was under the impression that Hughes Net paid the guys to do all this, and we where to be charged by Hughes Net. If anyone can shed some light on this please comment. Also, is anyone else have trouble with the 9000 series? my normal signal strenght is 190 and in the last 3 weeks it has dropped into the 160's. But Hughes Net refuses to talk to me about new equip or maint. on my equip i have :(

Say I also have the 9000 series unit.
How do you find out how strong your signal is?
Jason said his went from 190 down to 160.
And what is a good signal strength? -
