Will I still be able to use Tokens with HughesNet Gen4?

Yes. HughesNet Gen4 will continue to support Tokens as a way for customers to increase their download capacity. Tokens will be available for a set amount of bandwidth:

• 500MB for $5
• 1GB for $8
• 2GB for $16

In the event you deplete your anytime Download Allowance, the purchased Token will be automatically activated and bandwidth will be added to your "anytime" pool. If you did not purchase Tokens ahead of time, you will still be able to do so once you surpass your Download Allowance. If you exhaust your Tokens, you may see a slowdown in service during peak periods.

HughesNet Gen4 plans will not include complimentary Tokens.

If I remember right, current customers that switch are supposed to have banked tokens moved to the new system. I currently pay $10.50 per token which currently does only ~500MB of a restore. Will it be the face value that is transferred which is the $10.50 which would be slightly over 1GB of extra use on the new system, or would that be the lowest end token we would get in place, which is $5?

That only applies if Hughesnet is in fact moving tokens for people that do make the switch.

  imo, the tokens r way over priced. take the plans price of $99.99 for 40 gb's. divide that up and it is only $2.49 a gb. way over priced @ $8 a token

The tokens don't work like they used to... You buy a token, and it's applied to your account instantly... At least, from the way things look. It's not like before where you could buy a pack of 3 tokens for a daily reset, you buy them at certain sizes now when you NEED them. They then get added to your monthly remaining.

Though, I am unsure of what happens if you buy with 100% allowance and how that would work...
