Hello,
You have the capability to run VoIP with HughesNet however, please be aware "transmission latency" might effect functionality. Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) doesn’t work well with consumer HughesNet service due to “transmission latency,” which causes up to a half-second delay in the time it takes your computer to communicate with a website or host-server.

Hi Tickers,
As I mentioned above you can run VoIP but you might run into latency issues.
I hope this helps.

Hi John, we do not currently recommend using VoIP with Satellite Service. This is why we have made sure that customers are aware of this here http://www.hughesnet.com/index.cfm?pa... before signing up for HughesNet. Suz
