I have had my hughes net service suspended until 9/29/2012 due to problems with my internet service. I am needing to find out how to list my equipment and service contract so another customer can take over my service within my suspension date. The customer service representative told me to and I'm not seeing where to add this information

It's not clear what you're asking.
Did you suspend service or did HN suspend your service? Is it working? Is it delinquent?
Are you wanting someone to move it or keeping it in the same place?

Hello Diana, was the agent you spoke with able to troubleshoot your system before suspending your account? If not, please give us a call so we can make sure all your system parameters are up to date.
Should you decide to continue with your suspension and possibly transfer your service please find the instructions below.

At this time only purchase customers are illegible for an account ownership transfer. Our change of ownership procedure is intended for customers who are still within their contractual commitment obligation and no longer need the service but have found a new owner who is willing to take over the service and the remainder of the contractual commitment. IMPORTANT: If your contractual obligation has expired, you must cancel their service which will allow the new owner to activate the service through HughesNet Used Equipment Activation Sales Program. Ownership of a customer account may be changed with documented permission between the original account owner and the account transferee. The account transfer form must be completed and signed by both parties and returned to HughesNet. Only when the form has been received and accepted by Hughes will the transfer of ownership be official and Hughes' records be changed to reflect the new account holder's information.

Requirements for Change of Ownership:
The new subscriber must agree to the subscriber agreement and abide by all the terms for which the current owner is liable i.e. early termination fees, etc...
Original owner must agree to pay the balance that is due up until the date of the ownership changes.
To access the Change of account ownership form please go to
Click User Guides under Self Help section which will open article 1073 Installation Guides and User Manuals. At the end of the article, there is a link to Change of Ownership Form. Exhibit A
The originating customer must fill in the required blanks on the upper half of the form designating the account number, the transferee of the account, along with dates and signatures.
The new account holder (to be) must complete the lower half of the form, acknowledging their responsibility for the account along with their name, signature and date.
The completed and signed form can be faxed to (585) 419-3727). Any outstanding balances on the account to the date of change from the original owner of the account will be collected to bring the balance due to zero on the date of the change. You will be contacted within 4 business days of receipt of the fax.
