Why is Norton blocking my email?

Just now wanted to check my email, was fine this morning, now I get a Warning pop up from Norton " Malicious Web Site Blocked" you attempted to access http://webmail.hughes.net/mail.
I have no idea what happened. I go into my email from the HN home page , I can see the preview, when I click onto the "inbox" the pop up appears, not to enter site. What can I do ???

I don't use Norton, but my guess is that you can choose to ignore the warning on a one-time basis, or set an exception for the webmail URL in the Norton preferences.

Is anyone having problems with norton blocking their webmail. This morning when I tried to log in to my email, Nortons safe web blocked me from entering my hughesnet webmail account telling me that webmail.hughes.net was infected with "malicious domain request 2". I was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem. Thanks

Hello, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This glitch appears to be a result of updates on Norton’s side however; we’re also testing on our end to make sure. Throughout the day today we were unable to recreate the errors but if we do come across them tomorrow I’ll update you here. If you can post the exact errors you’re getting that would be helpful. Thank you, Sara

Hi Sarah, I went to the NORTON site last night after I posted problem above, to troubleshoot, ended up doing an "Eraser scan", came back ....free of risks.... restarted the computer, was still blocked, but as of this AM 1/30/12 all is well, slow but I can access the email.
I posted exact error message above.

Hi Emmi Kocsis
I use Norton but not HN web mail,
only to say other companies have had their share of false positives, a fact to live with.
Thanks for the update, but not a clue what "Eraser scan" is, Sara will want errors to help diagnosis...

Hi Marsh, when you click on to the Norton icon and "contact" them, a variety of questions come up to help solve a problem, I ended up in a so called "chat" , I assume its automated .Q&A. it offered a "Eraser scan" to see if there is virus, I did that and the result was negative. I had also posted here , thinking maybe Hughes Net changed the email address.. Like I said yesterday, all is well now, apparently it was a problem due to updates that Sarah mentioned. I had posted the errors in my topic.
