I am getting an error message; "web acceleration client error (515.2) upstream TCP connection establishment timeout". Can you please tell me what this means?

I am on facebook and enjoy playing farmville. I was told by a friend to go to gamersunite.com to download a snag bar that would automatically snag the gifts for the game. After downloading and playing the game for a while I got this message. Now I am having problems with windows locking up and not being able to close them after I get this message. I don't know how to fix it. Thank you for any help you can give me!

Julie,
You may have installed more than you counted on. I'd suggest checking for malware. You could also uninstall the snag bar using add/remove.
It could also be completely unrelated to the snag bar. That message is one you can get from a turbopage glitch. You could try disabling turbopage to see if it makes a difference. TP settings are in the advanced menu of your system control center if you're using a HN9000.

Thank you David I'll try that. What is malware? I have Norton installed on my computer and it said this was a safe download, is that what you meant? I'm going to go try that tp setting, if I can do it. Thanks!

Yesterday for about 2 hours we received several of these 504 and 512 errors where there was no connection then after refreshing we would receive service again.
Twice our modem 7000 HN had to be rebooted as 2 of the lights would be out, after rebooting service would be good for a few minutes then we would receive a 504 or 512 error.

Today so far things are working ok I just wanted to make this known so the techs were aware of it.

This is a business service and effects our business when down

David, I tried to find that tp setting, I wentt into Control Panel, then Network and internet options, then internet options, then clicked on advanced. The only things I found were FTP and HTTP under browsing the I found XMLHTTP under security...is it one of these??

It's in the HughesNet System Control Center http://192.168.0.1
Click on the tiny man in the upper middle of the page, turbopage, control, enable/reset. This only works for the HN9000.

As for Malware, a Norton scan is good but not perfect. Browser add-ons are sneaky. When I used Windows I always ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) at least once a week in addition to daily AVG scans. It always found stuff that AVG missed.

Something is glitched. How did you reboot? A soft reboot through control center or by unplugging the power supply at the outlet?

Unplug from the wall outlet then back in after 10 seconds or so.

If you still have the problem you'll have to call the help center. :(
